The project
In the 2024-2025 school year, the John Burroughs Alumni Association was tasked with raising $3.1 million through their Annual Fund. Among a sea of other requests, they needed to educate their alumni audience on what was critical about the Annual Fund in particular.
My team and I determined that an animated video would be the most strategic asset to power both marketing and education efforts, and to stand out from other donation requests throughout the year. I wrote the script to incorporate the year’s theme, “The Ripple Effect,” designed storyboards to bring texture and fun to the notion that even a small donation has a big impact. Then, I worked with an animator to turn my vision into a two-minute video for email and social media distribution.
